Marge, the kids and Milhouse go to the library where they find there are no longer any books on the shelves. With no books for reference, the kids are in danger of not being able to write their reports. Fortunately, Marge knows some history.

Milhouse and his mother move to Capital City, leaving Bart without a best friend. Meanwhile, Homer is mistaken for a beggar after getting drunk and discovers it's not a bad source of additional income.

Homer decides to enlist Maggie in an infants' pre-nursery school where it is discovered that she has genius I.Q even though she cannot yet talk. Lisa is left struggling to find a new identity as she can no longer be the smart one.

Episode 327: The Ziff Who Came To Dinner When Homer takes the kids to a horror movie they begin to think they are hearing noises coming from the attic. Homer investigates and the family discover that Artie Ziff - the now-bankrupt internet millionaire is hiding out from the authorities.

Episode 328: Co-Dependent's Day
Marge looks for an activity for Homer that doesn't involve beer and naively takes him to an Oktoberfest celebration. Then when Homer gets drunk, Marge winds up taking the fall for his DUI and is sent to rehab.

Bart is sent to Juvenile Hall, where he befriends a bad girl named Gina, who helps him escape.

Homer's inability to embrace Lisa's fathers day book the same way he does Bart's father's day Toolman causes Lisa to develop DDD (Disappointed Daughter Disorder).

Episode 363: The Last Of The Red Hat Mamas
Homer has an altercation with the Easter Bunny at the Mayor's egg hunt and causes Marge to be shunned by a group she was befriending. A lonely Marge decides to join a women's group called "The Cheery Red Tomatoes".

After crashing his Stutz Bearcat, Mr. Burns sends Homer and the family to pick-up a fancy sports car in Italy. While taking in the sites, they have an accident and end up stranded in a small village where a rehabilitated Sideshow Bob is the beloved mayor.

Episode 365: Simpsons Christmas Stories
Join The Simpsons for three tales of Christmas. In the first tale, Reverend Lovejoy's car breaks down en route to Christmas mass and Homer takes over the sermon by telling his version of the birth of Christ. Then, Grandpa explains why he plans to catch Saint Nick in a bear trap on Christmas Eve. Finally, the people of Springfield go about their Christmas days set to the tune of the Nutcracker.

Episode 366: Homer's Paternity Coot
The Simpson family receives a long lost letter and discovers Abe may not be Homer's real father. Homer tracks down the author of the letter and takes a DNA test to prove that his biological father is Mason Fairbanks, a British treasure hunter.

While trapped in Springfield cave, Lisa recounts a day with Mr. Burns where she was chased into his mansion by a mountain goat and forced to hear how Monty gained possession of Maggie's pacifier.

Marge offers her services as a babysitter and mother-figure to Rod and Todd but Ned question Marge's child rearing ability after she lets the boys play on a rock climbing wall. To add insult to injury, Bart gets pulled into a chimp cage at the zoo.

Homer's obsession with Lenny's new plasma T.V. causes Marge to enter the family into a sweepstakes where they win a third prize trip to the FOX lot. Against Marge's judgment, Homer signs the family up for a "Trading Spouses" type show.

Homer takes charge of training an Indian workforce when Mr. Burns outsources the plant overseas. The workers humor Homer's rants and keep up their already high productivity which leads Homer to develop a God complex.

The Simpsons family spins yarns of the sea as they wait for an order at the Sea Captain's restaurant.

Episode 375: Girls Just Wanna Have Sums
A chauvinistic remark from Principal Skinner to a former female student results in his demotion and the school being split between the sexes.

Marge suffers retrograde amnesia after she inhales noxious fumes during a cleaning spree. In hopes of refreshing her memory, Homer takes her around town; however, it isnt until specific stimuli that Marge starts to remember everyone except her husband.

Principal Skinner allows Lisa to tutor Cletus' kids instead of them enrolling into Springfield Elementary, but they end up on Krusty's show as a Musical Act. Bart sees a psychiatrist after pretending that he's possessed by a ghost.

Episode 393: Rome-Old & Juli-EH
When Homer accidentally declares bankruptcy, Grampa ends up leaving the Springfield retirement castle and falls in love with Marge's sister, Selma.

Episode 394: Homerazzi
Homer decides to join the world of paparazzi - forgetting what happened the last time he had a job that dealt in revealing other people's flaws to the public.

Episode 395: Marge Gamer
Marge becomes a spectacle during a PTA meeting for not having an e-mail address, and then decides to take a chance at using the Internet. Amazed and delighted by all the Internet has to offer, Marge decides to join a popular role-playing fantasy game named "Earthland Realms".

Episode 396: The Boys Of Bummer
Bart becomes a hometown hero when he makes the game-winning catch at his Little League game. Meanwhile, Homer runs into some luck, when an impressed store owner hires him as a salesman.

Episode 397: Crook & Ladder
Maggie goes on a path of destruction in the Simpsons’ home after Marge follows advice in a parenting magazine and throws away her pacifier. Marge finally gives in and sends Homer to get Maggie a new pacifier, but when he can’t find the right brand, Maggie comes up with her own substitute – an especially squeaky dog toy. Homer can’t sleep through the toy’s incessant squeaking and is driven to take sleeping pills, which turn him into a sleepwalker with a penchant for mischief. When one of Homer’s sleepwalking schemes leaves the entire Springfield Fire Department debilitated in the hospital, Homer and some of his fellow Springfieldians become volunteer firefighters. They extinguish several fires and are rewarded with gifts, but when the gifts stop coming, they seek other forms of compensation for their heroic acts.

Episode 398: Stop! Or My Dog Will Shoot
Santa's Little Helper rescues Homer from a cornfield maze and becomes the town hero. The family enrols him in the Police Dog Academy but when he graduates and police life becomes too much for Santa's Little Helper he bites Bart and is given away.

Episode 399: 24 Minutes
Principal Skinner opens a CTU - Counter Truancy Unit - at Springfield Elementary School with Lisa heading up the operation. Homer is sent to dispose of a container of yogurt so far past it's freshness date that it could be toxic.

Episode 400: You Kent Always Say What You Want
When Homer buys the 1,000,000th ice-cream cone at the local shop he ends up on Kent Brockman's news program. When Brockman swears on live TV, Ned Flanders leads a crusade to clean up Springfield's airways starting with getting Brockman fired.
